Why’s he lying so much?
So many lies!
And lying so hard, too!
Maybe because the truth hurts, hurts someone he cares about.
So now I’m wondering how many “red shirts” are sitting in that bar. Are panels 3 and 4 populated by expendable knock off characters who don’t even know it? Ignorance is bliss.
Hey, not bad. Looks like he had a lot of practice.
Thinking on his feet!
Are the bounty hunters good guys or bad guys?
Not if you’re a deadlander. :3
So…. they’re bad guys?
they walk the line
Johnny Cash anyone?
probably depends on if you’re the employer or the job
The best way to get someone to want to do something is to tell them that they can’t or shouldn’t. Nice going, Ash…
Guylia has weird stockings. At least, I assume those are stockings and not some Deadlander mutation.
Maybe it’s usual high women’s boots?
Boots. thanks for clearing that up.
To be fair they don’t look right on this page!
Looked like boots to me, but was still wondering a little. Never can be sure with Deadlanders. X3
Oh well, it’s not like the hoof
I suppose he *might* be telling the truth…maybe if Wren’s memory has been erased…and for him each trip to town is a brand-new experience.
Probably not, though, but I can’t help speculating…
No, Wren has three years of solid memory that does _not_ involve coming to the States “every few months”. Unless you want to suggest that at age 11 or 12, Wren was giving experienced bounty-hunters a serious run-around already. And while Wren is cool and all … that’s stretching belief just a bit too far, IMO.
Where information about the 3 years? He knows how to play the violin, among other things. It is impossible for the 3-year learn to play the violin and fight like Jackie Chan.
Consider it a Bourne Identity kind of deal. Although he does have only 3 years of experience on the violin.
He thinks quickly. Many lies. But this is not enough. At least one believed him? It attracted a lot of attention. Someone from the hunters begin to accurately keep track of them. Perhaps he wanted to distract them for yourself?
“It’s not worth it. Trust me on this.”
Hey, at least one thing he’s said is true. Chasing Wren really isn’t worth the resulting experience as a floor-cleaning implement.
I think the best follow-up would be “Just trying to help you guys out. But if you want to waste your time and effort, go ahead. I’ll just enjoy having the rest of the board to myself.” But we all know that he’s going to say the wrong thing and send a hundred or so bounty hunters after him.
Unless, of course, he’s trying to get them to go after Wren. We’re kind of assuming about what Ashton’s doing.
Well, the advance notice he was paying for kind of implies that he wants to find Wren first.
“Yeah. That would be how we know it’s bullshit.”
Maybe he is trying to protect Wren… and failing xD
“Hey guys you should go for this one- he probably can’t really kick your teeth in, look at the fluffy tail for goodness sake! Oh wait you didn’t know about the TAIL? Hmm I wonder what else they hid about him, he’s probably not dangerous though…uhh
