Many fur is a lot of resistance in the water. The tail can be strong. But it must be very strong, to help in the water. On the other hand Wren fair strong to learn to swim before he drown. But the tail it will not help here.

  Wren might be able to propel himself through the water with his tail, using carangiform propulsion. When his tail is wet, its fur might lose its fluffiness, and get slicked back, making it more streamlined and better suited for swimming.
  
  I’d love to see Wren swimming like a crocodile, barely moving his arms and legs, instead using undulatory tail motions.

    To swim like crocodile or fish, you need to have a tail like a crocodile or fish. One third of the weight, short and very thick at the base. And still need a fin.
    
    Wet fur stick together only in the air. Underwater each hair individually. Rowing hair is impossible. Surface friction is huge. Shaggy tail will help the same way as clothing.
    
    The tail is strong enough to row? If Wren can raise the tail of 10-20 kg, it possible. But I do not think. This rudder, not a hand.

  Except her Tumblr hasn’t been updated since the end of May (http://damnspider.tumblr.com/), her last Twitter post was in July, and she hasn’t been on DeviantArt for over three months. I’m starting to become really worried. =/
