    *cough* suchadouche *cough*

    • Dr. Shiny

This should be the featured comment.

  • Sean Long

… that is NOT his happy face.

Also: holy crap, that guy is interested in Wren _specifically_ …? RUH, ROH!

  • Esther Merriken

Wait… frozen …. strawberries? As in strawberry redheads? As in frozen redhead clones from before/during the alien invasion!?!

Nope. Probably overthinking this and its just the fruit juice she was drinking on the last page. Yeah, totally the fruit juice.

    • Fruity Loops

… a freudian slip.. or maybe she should’t have mentioned strawberries, just keep it to watermelons, guavas, papayas… chili peppers….

  • Wrendragon

So… it’s looking like Wren may have been this Bennett’s… pet project.

Also, I think that arm turned out pretty good.

    • madsniper

Thank you! Yeah, after generous use of the transformation and liquify tools it looks much better. XD Also his whole body was skewed to one side in that panel so everything worked a lot better once that was corrected!

  • Robert Nowall

So who has the project files, then?

    • madsniper

      *whistles nonchalantly

      • Dr. Shiny

        They’re in the briefcase.

        #PulpFiction

    • Verence

Probably Wren. On the CD that he carries to Ashton.

    • Volk0v

Maybe it’s that CD that Wren took?

  • Oscar Rojas

So this is Faux Affably Evil.

    • madsniper

      Yup XD

  • ProbablyASerialKiller

Wow, he can change moods quickly. I’m not so sure I like this guy…

    • Dr. Shiny

It seemed like Hebe and Co. had a particular reason or reasons to not want to deal with him. Reason(s) for HEBE and LAWLER to want to avoid him. I get the feeling that he is not a likeable guy.

  • Dr. Shiny

    Hebe appears nonplussed.

    And also Asian.

  • Truth Hut

So he’s a psycho who scares the shit out of lawler, has the full backing of a cult(basically), and he’s pissed. This is going to end well.

    • Roan Nashoba

You know someone is evil if they can scare Lawler. Definitely.

  • Melda Laure

In this guy’s world, all the useless eaters have had their Mc1R genes re-mapped into some pale green color, such that they have a coconut flavored flesh when tossed into an industrial sized blender.

Instant Gecow cOLADA. mAKes ITs owN SaucE! nOW IN troPICal flAVOR. Try it FLAMBE’ style.

And like the Triffeds, they are also handy as Anti_Personnel Weapons. and for Riot Control Purposes.

  • Foehn

Nope, no interesting redheads, though there was a boring one with a white tail.

  • safyrejet

Please. All redheads are interesting. That extra qualifier is not needed.

I kinda love how people assume “redhead” refers to Wren. I mean it probably does, because everything in the comic is somehow about Wren, but Wren can’t possibly be the only red head in the entire universe. Gideon could mean another redhead.

    • anonim

If Gideon will pretend to be good, Tilla could hug him. It would be cruel and bloody.

    • madsniper

He’s asking specifically about interesting redheads from Unit Four and how they might relate to this Bennett person. That’s a pretty small sampling.

      • safyrejet

Yes, but we don’t have all the details sorted out quite yet, including how big Unit 4 is, if there’s an unnaturally large convergence of redheaded bloodlines there, or who or what Bennett is. I’m not trying to argue against it being Wren, just amused. This isn’t the first time any “redhead” mention set all targets on Wren.

        • Aidan

Yeah, how big is Unit 4?

          • madsniper

There may have been as many as 50 people.

          • anonim

The dining room looked as if there lives at least a thousand people.

          • madsniper

            You mean this page? https://whitenoisecomic.com/comic/page-7-chapter-5/
There’s 18 people there including the guy with the walkie talkie who’s off screen.

          • anonim

I reasoned like this: seen about a quarter of the dining room, large tables, a large schedule. It looks like the dining room of my institute – can simultaneously accommodate 50 people. The Unit 4 many children and civilians – lunch time is not strictly set. People live in large apartments, Wren can cook the meat (it’s hard) – many people do not use the dining room. It’s all in the sum means that the population is close to the number of students in my institute. This 1000-2000 people.

You wrote “may have been”. This means that there are about 50 people, or whatever unknown number greater than 50?

          • madsniper

I’m the writer and I said there’s under 50 people. Feel free to see what you want but it won’t work in the story.

          • safyrejet

I don’t think anyone’s questioning you’re “under 50” statement and I see no reason to make anonim feel bad about explaining their reasoning. It’s just none of us know these behind the scenes details (except you) and we drew different conclusions, even without realizing it. I’m not even sure how the thread came to this question in the first place but it is an interesting bit of info, how big Unit 4 is.

I’m really really not sure why you seem to be so snippy about it though. Usually you’re good about filling in on fan theories or discussion with jovial stuff like your “whistles nonchalantly”.

          • Sean Long

My take is, that was a school lunch room. Everyone seated at the tables, seems to be a teenager.

Kids all get lunch at the same time, but other meals are not consumed communally (and adults can eat lunch whenever they feel like it, and have an opening in their schedule).

Just like the real world. :)

The group home (boarding school kinda place) I was in from age 13 through 15, there were only ten kids – but the dining area had two full-size dining tables (for the kids, and the 2 or 3 staff on duty during that part of the day), each able to seat eight without crowding.

So, I’d say there were 10-15 kids, based on multiple tables (at least two, maybe 3 or 4). Each table looked meant for no more than 6, and not all tables would be fully occupied (Wren had one all to himself, until his friends showed up).

Add 30-40 adults, and you arrive at MadSniper’s “maybe 50” quite nicely.

          • madsniper

            Thank you. :)

          • Sean Long

See, sometimes my penchant for over-analyzing things is actually _useful_. 😀

        • madsniper

You can’t dismisss Gideon’s “interesting” qualifier and then say that Wren being the redhead he means is contrived.

          • safyrejet

Would it help if I told you I wasn’t being serious with that? I’m a redhead. I joke about it sometimes. Sheesh. I never would have imagined such a simple light hearted perspective would set off so much trouble. Sorry for being interested and curious about the characters you’ve created, for musing over the reactions of fellow readers.
